The latest industry data shows that in July 2025, China National Heavy Duty Truck (Sinotruk) continued to hold the top spot in both monthly sales and cumulative sales in China’s heavy truck market. Moreover, Sinotruk has excelled in the new energy heavy truck sector, firmly standing at the forefront of the industry. From January to July 2025, Sinotruk’s cumulative sales of new energy heavy trucks exceeded 10,000 units, surging 236% year-on-year! With a market share of 12.48%, it is just “one step away” from entering the industry’s top three. Rising from an average monthly sales of 165 units in 2023, to 650 units in 2024, and surpassing 1,500 units by July 2025, Sinotruk has achieved continuous growth with a sustained increase of over 200%.
From ranking among the top ten in the new energy heavy truck industry in 2023 with a 5.8% market share, to rising to fourth place in 2024 with a 9.53% share, Sinotruk’s market share and industry ranking have continued to climb in 2025, entering the industry’s top three twice. Regionally in 2025, Sinotruk’s new energy tractor trucks have been hot sellers in Shanghai, Shanxi, Guangdong, Henan, and other areas. Meanwhile, its new energy dump trucks provide zero-emission, high-efficiency transportation solutions in sectors such as mining and municipal engineering in southwestern provinces like Sichuan and Yunnan.
China’s new energy heavy trucks are about to surpass an annual sales milestone of 100,000 units, with factors such as driving range and reliability becoming key considerations in users’ purchasing decisions. In the mainstream field of new energy heavy trucks and pure electric technologies, Sinotruk has fully mastered the core technologies for developing and testing electronic control systems. Based on independently developed software and hardware, the company has successfully created two major core assemblies: the electric drive axle and the central drive system. Notably, Sinotruk’s innovative dual-motor, two-speed electric drive axle demonstrates outstanding performance under high-speed heavy-load conditions, reducing the vehicle’s weight by 203 kg and increasing driving range by over 8%, directly addressing the core issue of range anxiety in new energy commercial vehicles.

The Howo TX 500 kWh electric drive axle battery electric tractor is a flagship model showcasing Sinotruk’s independent innovation. Its battery, motor, and electronic control systems are all developed in-house by Sinotruk. Equipped with a 500 kWh power battery pack, it features an integrated chassis and battery pack design with a custom-developed W-shaped modular battery that increases energy density by 10%. The driving range reaches up to 350 kilometers, and the battery comes with an 8-year or 4,500-cycle warranty. The truck supports fast charging, enabling quick and efficient recharging that greatly enhances overall operational efficiency.
