In the first four months of 2024, the import and export freight volume at the Torugart Port reached 347,500 tons, an increase of 55.62% year-on-year. At the Khorgos Port, the import and export freight volume was 13.727 million tons, an increase of 17.1% year-on-year, setting a new historical record for the same period.

Kyrgyzstan is one of the distribution hubs for Chinese goods to Central Asian countries and Russia. As an important port for import and export trade between China and Kyrgyzstan, Torugart Port has always been a crucial gateway for China's Xinjiang region to enter and exit Central Asia, Europe, South Asia, and West Asia.

Since January this year, Torugart Port has implemented a 7×14 hour customs clearance model, maintaining a strong import and export trade status. Torugart Customs has continuously upgraded and transformed its infrastructure through intelligent and informatized methods to improve customs clearance efficiency, contributing to the substantial growth of import and export goods.

Khorgos Port, bordering Kazakhstan, is an important gateway for the westward opening of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Currently, multiple trade methods are progressing simultaneously at Khorgos Port, further unleashing the economic development vitality of the port.
